What does this tool do?

It extracts JPEG GPS coordinates and camera metadata with parseExifGps (alias parseExif) and builds map embeds with osmEmbedUrl.

Why are my coordinates negative?

S and W references negate the decimal value — 41°30′00″ S parses as −41.5 while N parses as 41.5.

Is my photo uploaded or stored?

No. Marker walking, TIFF parsing (II and MM byte orders), and URL building run fully client-side.

Why is GPS missing but EXIF found?

Many files keep make/model tags while stripping GPS — you get found: true with null coordinates and a GPS unavailable message.
